Introducing a New Award for the 2024 Competition

We are excited to introduce a new award for the 2024 WOW Competition. The Transformation Innovation Award, will become recurring accolade in our annual event.

Head of Competition Sarah Nathan says the introduction of this award aims to encourage and reward awe-inspiring moments on stage and in the judging room. These are the moments that leave the audience breathless and applauding.

Nathan adds, 'The unexpected, delightful, 'how did they do that' moments, defines the unique nature of this new award. These moments of ingenuity can be achieved through transformation, innovative design, performative elements, or via the use of technology.’

The prize for this award is NZD$5,000.

For designers participating in the 2024 WOW Competition, an option will be available to express interest in being considered for this award when submitting  Step 2 of the online application.

Note: The Transformation Innovation Award replaces the Wearable Technology Award.
