What is the WOW Audio Guide?

The WOW Audio Guide is a new audio experience we are trialing to bring the garment detail even closer at the WOW Show. At the introductory offer of just $15pp*, you can be among the first to try this new audio guide narrated by WOW Head of Competition Sarah Nathan. The guide shares insight into the stories, construction and materials of the garments in the WOW Competition as they arrive front of stage. Synced with the music and action onstage in real time, this guide is accessed through your own mobile device and headphones. A guide must be purchased per person accessing. The guide is currently only available in certain seats and has limited availability per performance. Get in quick!

Will it be in sync with the performance?

Yes. The prerecorded WOW Audio Guide is broadcast in real time.

Do I need to bring my own headphones?

Yes, please bring your own wired or Bluetooth headphones.

Does it use my mobile data?

No — you will connect to a local WiFi network provided by WOW. You do not need to use mobile data or have an internet connection, but please ensure your device is well charged.

Is it accessible for those with hearing loss?

Yes! It broadcasts through a progressive web application, so will work on Smart hearing aids that connect with your device.

Is this an audio description of the WOW Show?

No, the WOW Audio Guide is designed to provide up close detail about the wearable art garments at the heart of the show. It is not a full description of the show.

How do I access it?

If you already have a ticket in a seat where the guide is available you can purchase the guide separately here. If you are yet to book your show ticket, you’ll find the guide as an optional add on when you buy your tickets in the WOW Audio Guide section.

Can I turn it off or pause it mid-show?

Absolutely! You can mute by tapping the sound icon or exit at any time without affecting your show experience.

When should I report to the Audio Guide Host?

We recommend arriving at least 45mins before the start time, as show guests are asked to be seated 30 minutes before the performance starts. On arrival, please report to the WOW Audio Guide check in area in the downstairs atrium to gain your access.

I already have tickets in another area but really want this experience

The WOW Audio Guide is currently designed around the arrival of the WOW Competition garments at the front of the WOW stage; we have therefore focused the guide availability on areas of the arena we know have that as a key focal point. If you’d like to explore options to move seats in order to access the guide, email tickets@worldofwearableart.com and we’ll do our best to find you a spot!

It's sold out at the performance I’m attending, can I still access?

We’re sorry you missed out this time! As we trial the technology that allows for an integrated live broadcast experience, we have opted to keep the numbers limited as we get to understand demand and audience needs.
