Likemind is proud to be partnering with World of WearableArt (WOW) to recruit an exceptional Head of Commercial to join their Senior Leadership Team. This is a rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join one of New Zealand's most iconic creative organisations and play a leading role in bringing an ambitious global vision to life.

The role:

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Head of Commercial is a newly created senior leadership role that will play a pivotal part in turning WOW's long-term vision into commercial reality, a 24-month fixed-term contract.

The Head of Commercial will play key role in realising WOW’s long term plan and lead the commercial engine of the organisation. Identifying, developing, and delivering new revenue opportunities, partnerships, activations, experiences, and ventures in New Zealand and internationally.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. The Head of Commercial will develop business cases and feasibility studies, create and manage commercial pipelines, proactively build relationships, lead major partnership negotiations, and help shape WOW's future growth beyond the annual show.

Key focus areas include:

· Driving commercial and revenue growth across partnerships, sponsorships, funding, experiences, merchandise, licensing, and new ventures.

· Commercialising new experiences and opportunities in local and international markets.

· Developing strategic partnerships with investors, sponsors, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.

About You

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially astute leader who can see opportunity where others see complexity and who is energised by building new initiatives from the ground up.

To be successful, you will bring:

· Proven experience in commercial partnerships, business development, executive producing, or a comparable commercial growth role.

· A track record of delivering revenue growth through innovative commercial strategies and activations.

· Experience evaluating, launching, and scaling new products, ventures, experiences, or services into new markets.

· An appreciation for creativity and the role it plays in inspiring communities and audiences worldwide.

Audition FAQ

What are you looking for in a model/performer?

We primarily seek models based in Wellington/Te Whanganui-a-Tara; however, applications from outside the region are welcome, provided applicants can relocate at their own expense
You need to be 15 years or older (as of 1 August 2027)
Minimum height: at this stage there is no minimum height. Height requirements will be determined by garment entries selected as finalists to appear in the show; specifics on height will not become available until closer to fittings.
You must be able to commit to all rehearsals and shows
Be confident performing in front of large groups of people and cameras
Be able to take instructions from choreographers and directors
Dance, performing and or modelling experience is an advantage, but not essential
Be able to confidently walk and move in high heels

If selected as a model/performer, will I be paid?

Yes, this is a paid role.

If selected as a model/performer, how much time am I committing to?

Rehearsals start early August and continue through until the show opens mid-September, through to mid-October. 100% commitment to all rehearsals and shows is essential.
There are a pre-show historic section and six competition sections in the show. Each section is rehearsed on a different day, and you are only called for the sections you are cast in. Most models/performers are required to rehearse 3-4 evenings and 1-2 weekend days. All models/performers must be available for all rehearsal days and be able to accommodate changes in the rehearsal schedule.
Rehearsals generally run Monday to Thursday evenings 5.45pm - 10.30pm, plus Saturday and Sunday 10am – 6pm
