Unprecedented demand for tickets to the 2005 Montana World of WearableArt™ Awards in Wellington later this year has led to the addition of an extra performance, before tickets are even on general sale.
WOW® was staging six shows at the Events Centre, opening on Friday September 23, but CEO Gabrielle Hervey says since on line preferential bookings opened on February 1, the interest has been so high it was decided to add another performance to satisfy public demand.
“Ticket sales have been phenomenal” Ms Hervey says “WOW in Wellington is being embraced by people from all over New Zealand. Sales are more than 30% ahead of this time last year.”
“Our two official travel operators, Air New Zealand Holidays & Nelson Tourism Services are also receiving unprecedented interest in their WOW® travel packages”.
“While a lot of bookings are from repeat WOW® fans, there are also many people who have never had the chance to experience a show, and the additional night should mean we can accommodate them.”
“This year we have also introduced some new hospitality packages including Corporate Tables and WOW® Star Packages, both of which have been hugely popular in the Wellington market”.
The extra night’s performance will be held on Thursday September 29th at 8.00pm
The 2005 show dates are now 23, 24, 25, 29 September and 30 and October 1 and 2.
The release of an additional night will mean an additional 3,000 seats taking the total audience to 22,400.
