People’s Choice Close to Judges in 2004 Montana WOW® Awards

The public has voted, and the Olivias on the Quay People’s Choice Award in the 2004 Montana WOW® Awards has given the thumbs up to a section winner.

The Seiren – designed by Rosie Horsley of Coromandel won the Air New Zealand South Pacific Section, and now the public has voted the garment the Olivias on the Quay People’s Choice Award winner.

More than 2300 public votes were cast, with The Seiren taking the lion’s share with 262.

Second place went to another section winner, Seen but Note Heard, which took the honours in the Port Nelson Illumination Illusion® Section.

The winner of the People’s Choice was Margeaux Baxter of Christchurch, who wins $500 cash and two premium tickets to the 2005 Montana WOW® Awards in Wellington next September.

Seiren’s designer wins $500, and two Premium tickets to the 2005 Montana WOW® Awards, while the model who wore the garment, Jane McGuiness, wins a weekend for two at the luxury B&B, Bellbird Lodge at Kaiteriteri.

WOW® Marketing Manager, Donna Ching says the public were asked why they made their choice, and the feedback was they loved the South Pacific feel of the garment, which was a fantastic performance piece.
